Exchange of fire reported in J&K’s Doda, search operation launched | India News

NEW DELHI: Exchange of fire between armed forces and terrorists broke out in Dessa area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district on Monday.
According to the J&K police, the firing has stopped and a search operation has been launched by the security forces.
Earlier, the security forces conducted search operations in Jammu, Doda and Reasi districts following information about some suspicious movements.
This comes a day after the Indian Army on Sunday killed 3 terrorists in an anti-infiltration operation along the Line of Control (LoC) in Keran sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
A series of terrorist attacks have occurred in recent months in the Jammu division of J&K. The militants have targeted 4 locations in Kathua, Doda, Reasi, and Udhampur districts of the region, claiming lives of 15 people including nine pilgrims and six security personnel, while 46 others were injured.
