As India is approaching the conclusion of the ongoing festive season with Diwali and other festivals just around the corner, many buyers are celebrating new beginnings by purchasing vehicles. The trend was boosted by auspicious timing, special offers, and festive discounts. While this time of year traditionally sees a rise in new vehicle sales, it’s the pre-owned segment that’s marking notable growth as well. Spinny, a used car platform, has observed a remarkable 40 percent increase in deliveries this October compared to last year, highlighting the festive cheer in the used car market.

Used car sales during festive season: Key trends

Across major cities such as Bangalore, NCR, Hyderabad, and Pune, the report released by the company says that it recorded a significant uptick in demand, particularly for automatic cars, SUVs, and financing options. Over 500 cars per day were delivered during peak festive days like Navratri, Dhanteras, and the platform’s own ‘Festival of Spinny’ special pricing days. With automatic vehicle deliveries surging by 57%, it’s clear that convenience has become a top priority for many buyers.
