SSC CHSL Tier-I Results Soon at ssc.nic.in; Check Tier II Exam Pattern, Marking Scheme, and Syllabus

NEW DELHI: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is set to announce the results of the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Tier I exam on its official website, ssc.nic.in, shortly. The SSC CHSL Tier I exam was conducted from July 1 to July 11, 2024, across various centres nationwide.
Following the exam, SSC released the provisional answer key on July 18, with the objection window closing on July 23, 2024.Alongside the answer keys, candidates’ responses were also made available. Candidates were allowed to submit representations for a fee of Rs 100 per question or answer challenged.
The Tier I exam was a computer-based test (CBT) aimed at filling approximately 3,712 vacancies in various departments. Candidates who meet the cut-off criteria will qualify for the SSC CHSL Tier II examination.
SSC CHSL Tier II Exam Pattern and Syllabus
The SSC CHSL Tier II exam will comprise three sections, each with two modules:
Section-I
• Module-I: Mathematical Abilities
• Module-II: Reasoning and General Intelligence
Section-II
• Module-I: English Language and Comprehension
• Module-II: General Awareness
Section-III
• Module-I: Computer Knowledge Test
• Module-II: Skill Test/Typing Test
• Scheme of Tier II Examination:
• Session-I (2 hours and 15 minutes):
Section-I
• Module-I: Mathematical Abilities (30 questions)
• Module-II: Reasoning and General Intelligence (30 questions)
• Total Questions: 60
• Maximum Marks: 180
Section-II
• Module-I: English Language and Comprehension (40 questions)
• Module-II: General Awareness (20 questions)
• Total Questions: 60
• Maximum Marks: 180
Time allowed for Section-I and Section-II is 1 hour each. Candidates eligible for scribes have 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Section-III
• Module-I: Computer Knowledge Test (15 questions)
• Maximum Marks: 45
• Time allowed: 15 minutes (20 minutes for candidates eligible for scribes)
Session-II
• Section-III: Module-II: Skill Test/Typing Test
• Part A: Skill Test for DEOs in Department/Ministry (15 minutes)
• Part B: Skill Test for DEOs except in Department/Ministry (15 minutes)
• Part C: Typing Test for LDC/JSA (10 minutes)
Tier II will be conducted in two sessions on the same day. It is mandatory for candidates to qualify in all sections of Tier II. The exam will consist of objective type, multiple-choice questions, except for Module-II of Section-III. Questions will be in English, Hindi, and the language opted by the candidate.
Important Instructions
• Negative marking of 1 mark per wrong answer in Section-I, Section-II, and Module-I of Section-III.
• Computer Knowledge Test is mandatory but qualifying in nature.
• Skill Test/Typing Test is of qualifying nature.
• Errors in Skill Test will be calculated up to two decimal places.

Candidates should ensure they have the following documents in original and photocopy at the time of counselling:
• Birth Certificate
• Class 10th Mark Sheet and Certificate
• Class 12th Mark Sheet and Certificate
• TS EDCET Scorecard 2024
• Government-Issued Photo Identity Proof
• PwD Certificate (if applicable)
• Transfer Certificate from College
• Bachelor’s Degree Certificate and Last Semester Mark Sheet (if applicable)
• Certificate of Nationality (for General Category)
