The heat was dominated by Mohamed Tindouft from Morocco, who secured the top spot with a time of 8:10.62 minutes. Following closely behind was Ethiopia’s Samuel Firewu, clocking in at 8:11.61 minutes to claim the second position.
Abraham Kibiwot of Kenya finished third with a timing of 8:12.02 minutes, while Japan’s Ryuji Miura secured the fourth place, recording a time of 8:12.41 minutes.
Sable’s performance in the qualifying round was impressive, considering the overall timings of the 15 finalists. Despite being fifth, he was among the top performers in the second heat. Although he led the race in the initial laps, Sable strategically adjusted his pace to ensure his qualification for the final round.
