Chhath puja 2024 bank holidays: Several states will see bank holidays for four consecutive days from November 7-10, 2024, during Chhath Puja celebrations, followed by regular weekend closures.
Banks will be closed across the country this weekend with November 9 being the second Saturday and November 10 being a Sunday.
According to the RBI website, November 2024 will have multiple bank holidays including Diwali Amavasya, Kut festival, Kannada Rajyothsava, Balipadyami, Vikram Samvant New Year Day, Chhath celebrations, Egaas-Bagwaal, Guru Nanak Jayanti, Karthika Purnima, Rahas Purnima, Kanakadasa Jayanti, and Seng Kutsnem.
Chhath Puja 2024 Bank Holidays
On November 7 (Thursday), banks will remain closed in Bihar, Delhi, Jharkhand, and Bengal for Chhath Puja Evening Arghya. The following day, November 8 (Friday), banks will be closed in Bihar, Jharkhand, and Meghalaya for Chhath Puja Morning Arghya and Wangala Festival.
November 2024 Bank Holidays
Uttarakhand observes Egaas-Bagwaal on November 12. On November 15, banks close in multiple states including Mizoram, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Chandigarh, and several others for Guru Nanak Jayanti, Karthika Purnima, and Rahas Purnima celebrations.
Karnataka observes Kanakadasa Jayanti on November 18, while Meghalaya marks Seng Kutsnem on November 23 with bank closures.
