‘No cause of concern’: Ratan Tata says undergoing age-related medical check-ups

Ratan Tata, the Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons, has responded to reports of his being hospitalised at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital. The Tata group veteran has said that he is undergoing medical check-ups and that there is “no cause of concern”. Reports had surfaced of Tata being rushed to the hospital.
“I am aware of recent rumors circulating regarding my health and want to assure everyone that these claims are unfounded.I am currently undergoing medical check-ups due to my age and related medical conditions,” Ratan Tata said in his statement. “There is no cause of concern. I remain in good spirits and request that the public and media respect refrain from spreading misinformation,” he added.
Ratan Tata took over as chairman of Tata group in March 1991 and retired in 2012. According to the Tata group, “From torchbearer to transformer, Chairman Emeritus Ratan Tata has played shepherd and sentinel while guiding the Tata group into a new age, and he has done it in his own distinctive style.”
