In response to the recent listing of their former villa for sale, Cora Schumacher expressed her anger and frustration on Instagram, highlighting the emotional toll of the situation. After failing to sell the property, Ralf Schumacher’s renewed efforts drew criticism from Cora, who accused him of misrepresenting the facts and casting her in a negative light.
She noted that the villa’s photos had circulated online for nearly a decade since Ralf first attempted to sell it, criticising his lack of discretion in marketing. Meanwhile, Ralf also addressed the long-term effects of their brother Michael Schumacher’s severe skiing accident in 2013, revealing that he may never fully recover. He reflected on the lasting trauma of that day, particularly for Michael’s children, while honouring the close bond they shared in motorsports.
Cora’s reaction to the sale
The villa was listed earlier too but couldn’t find a buyer. The new listing, however, angered Cora, who took to Instagram to express her frustration. “It’s a shame to try again, (and by that I do NOT mean the media) twisting the facts and throwing me into a wrong light. The photos of the house were circulating on real estate pages about ten years ago, when Ralf Schumacher already tried to sell the house – without relying on discreet marketing! Had this happened, these pictures would not be on the internet today! So those looking for who is responsible, should turn to my ex-husband sooner,” she wrote on her Instagram story.
Michael Schumacher’s recovery and Ralf’s reflection
In November 2023, Ralf Schumacher revealed that his brother Michael, who suffered a severe skiing accident in 2013, may never fully recover. Michael was skiing with his then 14-year-old son, Mick, in the French Alps when he fell and hit his head on a rock, sustaining a serious head injury despite wearing a helmet. The racing legend was recently spotted attending his daughter’s wedding, a rare public appearance that thrilled fans.
Reflecting on the accident, Ralf described it as a traumatic experience, especially for Michael’s children. “Mick was a young teenager back then. Unfortunately, life isn’t always fair, and there was a lot of bad luck involved,” he had said then.
Ralf also shared how Michael had been more than just a brother to him: “He was my coach and mentor. Michael taught me everything about karting and was always by my side. We raced together, practised overtaking manoeuvres, and focused on everything that matters in motorsports. I had the honour to learn from the best.”
