The big hits at ‘The Hundred‘ tournament in England are flying in all directions, and one from the bat of Kieron Pollard almost took the commentators out at the Sophia Gardens ground in Cardiff on Monday.
Batting for Southern Brave, the Caribbean big-hitter Kieron Pollard smashed Welsh Fire‘s Pakistani bowler Haris Rauf for a six at backward square leg. With the commentary box at the ground level in that direction, the ball looked to be heading towards the glass window of the box as the commentators, including Sri Lanka legend Kumar Sangakkara and former England placer Robert Croft, took evasive action that was caught on camera.
Thankfully for everyone involved, the ball fell just short and hit the electronic boundary board.
